Frequently Asked Questions

Metabolic Health

Metabolic health refers to the overall state of an individual's metabolic processes, which are the chemical reactions that occur within the body to maintain life. These processes include how your body converts food into energy, how it stores and uses that energy, and how it manages substances like glucose and hormones. Good metabolic health is associated with stable blood sugar, balanced hormones and improved energy levels.

Metabolic health can be measured in several ways. At Combe Grove, the primary methods we use for measuring metabolic health are blood tests, HbA1C tests, blood pressure tests, glucose monitors and the Accuniq composition analyser.

Our blood tests help us to measure your initial glucose levels while providing a comprehensive overview of your cholesterol profile, including HDL and LDL levels.

Metabolic health is the foundation of overall wellbeing. At its root, metabolic health enables your body to efficiently process nutrients, maintain healthy hormone levels, and regulate glucose.

By nurturing your metabolic health at Combe Grove, you are not only preventing inflammatory illness, but you're also enhancing your quality of life and ensuring a brighter, more active future.
