Rosalind Oxenford

Reflexology Practitioner

Rosalind Oxenford

Reflexology Practitioner

Reflexology is a therapeutic method of relieving pain by stimulating predefined pressure points on the feet and hands. This controlled pressure alleviates the source of discomfort. In the absence of any specific illness or abnormality, reflexology may be as effective for promoting good health and for preventing illness as it may be for relieving symptoms of stress, injury, and illness.

Symptoms commonly eased: stress, anxiety, back pain, migraine, poor digestion, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), respiratory problems, asthma, headache, bladder problems, menopausal symptoms, period pain

Highly experienced in holistic medicine and with a background in healing and homoeopathic training, Rosalind has been instrumental in setting up the Combe Grove wellness practitioners’ portfolio and is always happy to share her wider holistic knowledge with her clients and colleagues. In addition to general reflexology practice, Rosalind specialises in stress and stress related conditions, pregnancy and childbirth, post-natal support, family issues and working with children.

Having qualified in Anatomy, Physiology and Massage in 1990 and as a member of The Association of Reflexologists in 1995, Rosalind went on to set up her own reflexology training school, The Bath Reflexology Centre, in 1995. The school evolved into the renowned Complementary Therapy College with Rosalind deciding in 2013 to retire from teaching and focus her energy on her own practice.

A great believer in the integration of clinical and holistic medicine, Rosalind has the amazing ability to recognise where life’s stresses are held in the body and to gently ease them out with the most intuitive of touches. An invaluable key member of the team Rosalind combines her years of professional, local experience with an empathetic and nurturing ambience.

Caroline Metz

Kinesiology and Reiki Practitioner

Caroline Metz

Kinesiology and Reiki Practitioner

Kinesiology uses gentle muscle testing to balance the body physically, emotionally, energetically, and nutritionally. It assists with food intolerance identification, diet and lifestyle guidance, nutritional supplement recommendations and eases stress and anxiety.

Symptoms commonly eased: digestive health, headaches, fatigue, stress and anxiety, skin problems, menopausal symptoms, sleep issues, back pain

Caroline is a fully qualified Kinesiology and Reiki practitioner, certified by the Association of Systematic Kinesiology and the Shimbumi International Reiki Association.

By the power of touch, Caroline reads muscle imbalances within the body to ease the resulting physical and emotional symptoms such as headaches, joint pain, back problems, and lack of energy. The feedback received through the muscles indicates to Caroline what the body needs and where the priority areas are. Imbalances are then corrected using nutritional supplements, emotional stress release techniques, acupressure, Bach flower remedies, reflex massage, suggested lifestyle changes and more.

Nicky Minter

EFT Practitioner

Nicky Minter

EFT Practitioner

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) began with Gary Craig in 1995 and combines ancient eastern philosophy with modern-day psychology. It is a method whereby the tapping of certain pressure points balances the body’s energy system holistically, sending calming signals to the brain. This means that stress can be alleviated in relation to anything, whether it be an emotional or physical issue, past or present.

Symptoms commonly eased are anxiety, anger, grief, overwhelm, sleep problems, OCD, cravings/addictions, digestive issues, weight issues, negative thought patterns and past trauma.

Nicky is passionate about how belief systems and mindset are vital to living a healthy and happy life and therefore she helps to alleviate a client’s emotional health issues to restore optimism, calm and contentment. Qualifying as a kinesiologist in 2002, Nicky then trained in EFT and has worked 1-1 as an advanced EFT practitioner since 2009. More recently she has taken mindfulness training, including one for teenagers and young adults. She has also worked at support centres, in schools, and at Bath Spa University and teaches stress-relief and mind-harmony wellbeing workshops.

Having a keen interest in healthy food and a balanced client-centred diet, Nicky believes that the Metabolic Health programme beneficially integrates the expert guidance of a host of leading wellbeing professionals to support clients to regain the good health that they desire. Her ability to work with emotional aspects that arise along this journey means she is a valuable support to help manage any negative feelings or belief patterns and increase a positive mindset.

Nicki O’Clarey

Structural Integration and Scar Tissue therapy

Nicki O’Clarey

Structural Integration and Scar Tissue therapy

Nicki has an avid curiosity and respect for physiology having studied anatomy, movement and exercise science along with various somatic movement practices for over 30 years. She particularly likes to utilise movement methods that explore natural function and awaken the senses.

Since the body is so interconnected, Nicki believes that analysing the whole-body pattern is key to understanding the cause of movement problems. Structural Integration (SI) considers the relationship of body parts connected through fascial pathways and provides a strategy for unwinding and rebalancing postural patterns which can positively affect all body systems not just the fascia. She endeavours to find ways to bring the work from SI sessions into home practice and daily living believing that ‘little and often’ is a better way to promote change.

Nicki feels that maintaining our movement ability and being connected to our body helps us remain adaptable which is key to being able to navigate our way along the bumpy roads in life.

Nicki also specialises in Scar Tissue Therapy, a dedicated form of fascial work that uses specific fascial techniques to ease restrictions, increase hydration and restore mobility to scar tissue following trauma or surgery (including oncological). It uses light touch to stimulate circulation and lymph flow, and activates the immune and nervous systems to promote healing. Scars that are years old can still benefit from treatment.

Bryan Melville

Acupuncture Practitioner

Bryan Melville

Acupuncture Practitioner

Acupuncture is a technique in which practitioners stimulate specific points on the body, most often by inserting thin needles through the skin. It is one of the practices used in traditional Chinese medicine.

Symptoms commonly eased: fatigue, headaches, fertility issues, hip and back pain, tennis elbow, sciatica, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), hay fever

Bryan, who is originally from New Zealand, qualified as an acupuncturist in 1995 at The College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading and is a member of The British Acupuncture Council.

Believing strongly in treating the whole person and not just a particular symptom, Bryan studied integration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and 5 Element acupuncture. His experience is that Traditional Chinese Medicine helps relieve the physical symptoms whilst the 5 Element acupuncture works to reach deeper, more emotional conditions. The combination leads to a healthier balance achieved more quickly.

Oscar Marcus

Osteopathy Practitioner

Oscar Marcus

Osteopathy Practitioner

Oscar's journey into the realm of healthcare began with a deep passion for movement, humbly inspired by the study of martial arts and Eastern philosophies. Through these pursuits, he discovered the transformative potential of Shiatsu and the healing power of touch, sparking a thirst for a deeper understanding of the human body and its potential for therapeutic benefit.

Driven by a sincere desire to expand his knowledge and contribute to the wellbeing of others, Oscar pursued an array of complementary therapies, including Thai massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, and deep tissue techniques. With each new discipline, he approached his studies with awe, recognising the boundless intricacies of the healing arts.

After gaining experience in the field, Oscar's curiosity and reverence for the human body propelled him to pursue a Master's Degree in Osteopathy, a journey marked by both challenges and profound insights. This educational path also led him to explore the world of animal osteopathy, where he approached the care of diverse creatures with respect for the innate wisdom of each species.
Within Oscar's therapeutic practice, one finds a blend of personal passions, such as Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and breathwork, woven together in the spirit of promoting optimal health. These elements, embraced with humility, serve as tools for facilitating well-being in those he serves.

Oscar's ongoing commitment to learning and his dedication to helping others understand their bodies and their innate capacity for self-healing remain central to his mission. With reverence, he strives to empower individuals and animals to unlock their inherent potential for adaptation, self-healing, and wellbeing.
