Keeping it Green with Weaver Green Blankets
Keeping it Green with Weaver Green Blankets-
Staying guests and our regular Club members have enjoyed enveloping themselves in our Weaver Green blankets across the cooler autumn months, as they embraced the outdoors at every opportunity.
From buttermilk earthy tones, subtle fawns, and dove greys these are just a few of the natural coloured throws and blankets that Weaver Green have available.
Sustainable, sophisticated, and stylish are three ways to describe Weaver Green. It is hard to believe that these soft, hand-loomed blankets started life as discarded plastic, on their way to landfill or were carelessly discarded within the landscape. Not only are these blankets sustainable, but they are aesthetically pleasing and incredibly warm.
Positive textile creation all started with founders Tasha and Barney, who saw the opportunity to collect and remove plastic bottles from our oceans and turn them into practical and useful yarn. After seven long years of tireless efforts, Tasha and Barney managed to achieve their goal by creating a machine washable, stain resistant textile, which also doesn’t compromise on quality and style. Each throw and blanket diverts up to 300 plastic bottles from landfill.
All of Weaver Greens yarns are coloured using non-toxic dyes and, in keeping with the couples environmentally friendly ethos, they minimise single-use plastic waste by using recycled or recyclable packaging. As a brand Weaver Green supports fair pay for all employees and invests back into the local community by supporting women in education.
Carefully selected for their eco credentials, we will be taking things indoors with Weaver Green throws in our guest bedrooms, allowing you to take a seat by the open window to drink in the fresh air and enjoy the sound of nature at play. As an all round wholesome brand, you do really need to experience the sensorial impact of these textiles, with the knowledge that you are also being sustainable at the same time.
In time our ambition is to collaborate with our friends at Weaver Green to create a bespoke Combe Grove range, in the meantime, you can read more about their story or shop their products here: https://www.weavergreen.com/pages/our-story
