The popup garden environment has such an impact on sight. The visual texture, shape, reflections, heights, light and shade create such visual appeal and stimulates our sense of sight. Gardens and nature create an extremely positive environment which is beneficial to our overall wellbeing. The colour green promotes stress relief and has a positive effect on concentration, this is great for our apprentices’ learning environment.

Our Level 2 Countryside Worker apprentices designed and created a stunning green wood carpentry bench. Green woodworking is the method of creating a new product out of a freshly cut tree, green wood is softer than seasoned wood and can be manipulated more easily, it is pliable and responds better to hand tools. It is also less likely to split. Sitting on this beautiful bench and surveying the garden is so joyful, just like the talented apprentices that made it.
