In house Nutritionists and Chefs prepare seasonal menus based on the ketogenic lifestyle, which has been described by participants like Colin as “nothing short of life changing.” High in fat and protein and low in carbohydrates, these meals are designed to align with the unique needs of those with Type 1 diabetes.

Emma Porter, an author and food expert with Type 1 diabetes, shares her experience and Type 1 friendly recipes developed specifically for the Retreat. Workshops are conducted to deepen understanding of ketogenic eating, enabling participants to make meaningful dietary changes that support long term health.

All meals are prepared with fresh, nutrient dense produce grown on the Estate or sourced locally, ensuring the highest quality nourishment throughout the stay.

Nutritionists are available throughout the Programme to guide participants in balancing the Five Roots, empowering better management of Type 1 diabetes.

During the Retreat, the advanced Accuniq body composition analyser is used to provide a detailed profile of skeletal mass, muscle mass and fat. Measurements are used in one on one consultations to help achieve body composition goals, with guidance tailored to individual needs.
