Foot health practitioners should generally be visited every 6-8 weeks for ongoing management of conditions like thick nails or callus removal, or every 6-12 months for routine, preventative care Individuals with high-risk conditions, such as diabetes or poor circulation, often require appointments every 6-8 weeks.

How should I prepare for the treatment?

  • Do Not Use Foot Cream: Avoid applying moisturising creams, lotions, or oils on the day of your visit, as this can make treatment more difficult.
  • Remove Nail Polish: Remove any nail varnish or polish to allow the practitioner to accurately assess the health, colour and condition of your toenails.
  • Do Not Perform Self-Treatment: Avoid cutting corns, calluses, or heavily trimming nails beforehand, as the practitioner needs to see the skin in its natural state to provide the correct treatment.
