Apprenticeship Structure
This initial stage forms the core of the apprenticeship, where apprentices engage in comprehensive learning aligned with the apprenticeship standards. They develop their knowledge, skills, and behaviours as specified by the standard.
This phase marks the end of on-programme learning and prepares apprentices for the End Point Assessment (EPA). Collaboration with the apprentices, the training provider, and Combe Grove ensures readiness for the EPA, evaluating completion of Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSBs), occupational competence, mandatory off-the-job learning hours, and any required qualifications.
The EPA at Combe Grove is approached with a thorough analysis of performance. Focus areas include the ability to perform beyond the standard level, a consistent track record of exceeding expectations, and proactive contributions to business improvements. Support is provided to help apprentices excel during this final assessment, ensuring they meet and exceed the set standards.
