Customer Service Specialist level 3 Apprenticeship

Combe Grove is owned by The Elmhurst Foundation, a charity that is transforming the site into a centre for work-based learning excellence with a range of high quality, enhanced apprenticeships. Over the coming months and years, The Elmhurst Foundation will continue to evolve the hotel into a go-to destination for health & wellbeing, making the very most of its tranquil woodland setting and outstanding natural views.

Your main responsibilities will be to ensure that excellent customer service is provided to guests, members and visitors ensuring that any experience of visiting Combe Grove fulfils and exceeds expectations thus achieving satisfaction and encouraging return visits. You will support Combe Grove’s business strategy in relation to customers and make recommendations for its future

The successful candidate will be a highly organised individual, with good communication skills and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.

Job Type: Apprenticeship

Salary: £10,250.00 /year

Experience:

  • Sales: 1 year preferred.
  • Customer Service: 1 year preferred.

Education:

  • A-Level or equivalent preferred.

 

Sales Apprenticeship

Our purpose is to provide high quality training and development enabling our apprentices to fulfill their potential and develop a sound foundation from which to embark on a successful career.

Your main duties would include:

  • Providing an informed, professional and individual service to all guests, members and visitors, setting an example as an ambassador for Combe Grove.
  • Understanding and maximising opportunities to fulfill and enhance the experience of visiting Combe Grove.
  • Dealing with sales enquires in a polite and efficient manner, both on telephone and face to face, maximising the potential from each enquiry
  • Assisting with the planning and organisation of meetings and events
  • Understanding and maximising opportunities to fulfill and enhance the experience of visiting Combe Grove.
  • Developing a sound knowledge of the area, local places of interest, current events and attractions, in order to provide individualised advice to support the guests’ experience.
  • Researching and identifying new business opportunities
  • Understanding and contributing to achieving sales targets
  • Understanding and ensuring that the team are following all necessary policies, procedures and protocols so that services run smoothly and all necessary recording is maintained accurately and in a timely way.
  • Understanding the services and operations of other teams in order to develop and maintain close communication, liaison and good team working relationships.
  • Understanding and fulfilling all the agreed requirements for Health and Safety
  • Contributing to the development of the front of house services in line with the Elmhurst Vision and Values.
  • Other duties as delegated by the Reception Manager
  • Other miscellaneous duties as delegated by Sales Manager

Essential requirements:

  • A Passion for excellent customer service.
  • Strong GCSE qualifications including English and Maths
  • A Level qualifications or equivalent eg BTEC
  • Educated to A level standard or equivalent
  • IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft suite including Word & Excel
  • Excellent people skills
  • Flexible attitude
  • Highly organized individual

Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration

Training provider: YMCA

Length of apprenticeship: 12- 18 months

Possibility of an enhanced apprenticeship Level 4+

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Salary: £10,250.00 /year

Education:

Hospitality Management Apprenticeship

Your main responsibilities will be to ensure that excellent customer service is provided to guests, members and visitors ensuring that any experience of visiting Combe Grove fulfils and exceeds expectations thus achieving satisfaction and encouraging return visits. This role will give you experience and an insight into the services, responsibilities and management of the front of house services. You will learn to all about what makes hospitality successful both in terms of customer service and a successful business.
