The Combe Grove estate features 14 hectares of woodland habitat, peaceful spaces which allow you the perfect opportunity to surround yourself in nature.
Our woodland trail will take you through a landscape which reflects its history. The Ash and Field Maple woodland is around two hundred years old, re-growth on land that was previously quarried. At the right time of year this circular walk will take you along paths bordered with Wild Garlic, Dog’s Mercury, Bluebells or Wood Anemones.
Within the woodlands are two Sites of Specific Scientific Interest, home to two species of bats, the Greater Horseshoe and the Lesser Horseshoe. Look out for the ancient Small Leaved lime tree, the stone arch and several springs.
