About the role

We are a pioneering Health & Wellness Centre specialising in metabolic health. As a Charitable Trust we deliver a first-class Apprenticeship Academy. We are are actively recruiting for Level 2 Horticulture Apprentices to join our amazing team in partnership with Bridgwater & Taunton College, a centre of excellence.

This position sits within the Estate Team and works within a friendly, supportive team helping to maintain and cultivate the grounds and Kitchen Garden of the Combe Grove 70 acre Estate. The role will involve but is not limited to:

Maintaining the grounds and gardens following the permaculture, no dig model

Supporting a range of horticultural activities on the Estate and Kitchen Garden

producing plants and vegetables for consumption and growing plants for creating displays of a high horticultural and botanical standards

Expected Duration 34 months

Discounted therapies and treatments provided by the on-site team using pure, organic products from the South West of England with selected medicinal herbs and aromas to support the therapeutic benefit of treatments.

Salary

Prior to enrolment in September 2023, the successful applicant will complete a Combe Grove Internship up to 31 August 2023 and for this period, the salary will be paid at National Minimum Wage rates.
Enrolment salary for this position is £14,000 pa pro-rata and performance related salary increases will apply to this apprenticeship upon successful completion of:

Probation up to £14,500 pa pro-rata

Year 1 up to £21,750 pa pro-rata

Year 2 up to £22,750 pa pro-rata

There will be an additional 3 months at the end of the Gateway period to provide Career Coaching which will include support with job searches, CV writing and interview skills.

Hours

Monday to Friday 07.00-15.30 subject to seasonal change. Total hours 40 per week exclusive of breaks. This includes a designated 8 hour study day every week and some weekend working as per the team rota.
