Trees are vital, they bring nature into urban areas, support the rural economy, provide food and habitats for wildlife, and help to combat climate change.
However, trees are under threat. The number of pests and diseases attacking them has increased in the last few years.
UK governments have already stepped up their activity to protect trees, and you can help too! Our Combe Grove estate team have taken part in one of a series of nature surveys
developed by the Open Air Laboratories (OPAL) programme. It is designed in collaboration with Forest Research and FERA to help us get closer to our local environment while collecting important scientific data. Surveys are being completed and uploaded across the country by schools and volunteers.
