Some Feedback

“I had the joy to host a 3 day yoga week-end break at the exquisite Combe Grove near Bath this last September.

From the moment I arrived at the train station in Bath, kindly picked up by the lovely Isabel Scott-Evans, to my arrival at Combe Grove, I already knew that the weekend would be something special, something that will stay in my and my guests memory for ever, simply due to the very warm and smiley welcome I had the chance to get and feel from not only Isabel but from everyone who I was introduced to.

This is the place that I will be hosting more yoga retreats in the future- it is rare to find the perfect place and environment to embark guests on a short journey and to make them feel at home at the same time. The surroundings are stunningly beautiful, the woods are magical, the outdoor swimming pool is great to relax in and enjoy few laps.

The Yoga Studio is beyond beautiful, it has been designed in a way that you feel cocooned: the fire place is perfect for the sessions to add warmth, the props, the mats, the blankets, the lavender eye pillow, the meditation cushions are just fantastic. Everything is there that you could wish for as a yoga teacher. The cherry on the cake, the sound system: absolutely fantastic. The projector added a great plus to the room for our evening screenings.

Our bedrooms were very comfortable, warm, all with beautiful views and a terrace, making you feel at home away from home- especially for someone like me who travels a lot and need a good bed to sleep on. The mattress is incredibly comfortable, you just don’t want to wake up!

The food was made by a great young and talented Executive Chef, whom we had the honour to meet and congratulate for his delicious meals. He kindly shared his recipes with us as well!

I would definitely recommend Combe Grove to any yoga teachers that I know who are looking for a getaway yoga retreat.”
