Flower Power

Summer is in full swing here on Brassknocker Hill. We have been lucky enough to have lots of good weather with (hopefully) more to come, so if you’re visiting we highly recommend a stroll around the grounds, where you may spot a few colourful new additions…

Our gardener Ash has been very busy with trowel and watering can, replanting the flower beds and restoring the plant pots. She has done an incredible job, planting over 100 different flowers to brighten up the garden, assisted only by Sala her terrier. From white foxgloves, geraniums of many colours, and cat mint, the garden is a real feast for the eyes. Head to the Garden Lodge and you will find an abundance of wildflowers and long grasses. There are multiple flower pots around the manor, full of lovely bright blooms of white lavender and geraniums.

Within the 64 acres of Combe Grove, there resides a wealth of wildlife, including butterflies, birds and bees, which are very important to us. Over the coming months and years, we will cultivate and nurture our estate further to support our natural wildlife, so that they can make a safe home amongst our flower beds.

Next time you’re here, why not take a cup of tea, or perhaps a spot of lunch on the terrace, and enjoy some time amongst the flowers.
