Join award-winning writer and senior lecturer, Dr Lucy Christopher, for the creative mini-break you need to find the time and inspiration to write.
You’ll have a three-hour writing workshop over freshly brewed coffee and cake, as well as an individual appointment with Lucy to discuss your writing fully, all in our beautiful private meeting room, the Library. Desk space will be reserved for you all weekend to pen your next masterpiece, or you might choose to curl up by the fire, spend some time in the pool, sauna and steam room, or stretch your legs for a walk through the woods.
This mini-break will include comfortable accommodation in one of our cosy Valley View rooms, with breath-taking views over ancient woodland, as well as seasonal, local and delicious meals throughout.

Lucy Christopher is the international bestselling author of Stolen, Flyaway and The Killing Woods. Her forth novel for young adults, Storm-wake, will be published worldwide in May 2018.
She grew up in Melbourne, but moved to the UK to earn an MA, as well as PhD, in Creative Writing. Lucy now works as Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University, as well as being a highly-regarded leader in creative writing retreats worldwide. In 2016 she founded Mexico Writing Retreats at Rancho Las Cascadas.
Her books have won numerous international awards, including the Branford Boase, Gold Inky, Prix Farniente and a Printz Honor Award. Lucy has also co-written the screen adaptation of Stolen, as well as short-stories and a picture book for younger readers.
