At Combe Grove, we are taking the first steps on our journey to becoming a centre for work-based learning excellence, starting with the development of a broad range of apprenticeships.
This week we headed down to the Guildhall for the Bath College Apprenticeships and Jobs Fair, to meet some of Bath’s future apprentices for the first time. This was our first chance to introduce our apprenticeship programme and we were very excited to meet the next generation of budding hospitality and business professional superstars.
Our new apprentices will be able to try their hand at everything from marketing, finance, hospitality, catering, customer services, listed building crafts & conservation, estate management & horticulture, and more. Each apprentice will be tutored by master-craftsmen with a wealth of experience. But what makes these apprenticeships special is the opportunity to be a part of something unique at Combe Grove, with one foot in the city and one foot in the country, and a truly outstanding view.
Lots of local students came to have a chat with us, to hear about the vision we have for Combe Grove and how they could be a part of it, and to try a truffle or two (handmade by our chef). It was inspiring to hear from so many young people enthused about entering the world of work, starting their careers and ‘earning while they’re learning’. Even Mayor Paul Crossley stopped by to find out about the project from our Marketing Apprentice Jenna!
