Join us for an evening with Bath’s world-famous architectural model-maker, Timothy Richards.
Recently featured on the cover of Bath Life magazine, Tim is the owner and master-craftsman behind the only business in the world of its kind, and will be speaking to us in the Drawing Room, about the models, his craft and what it is to run a busy traditional workshop.
His strikingly accurate replicas – which many have admired on display at Combe Grove – are handmade by Tim and his small team, in their Widcombe studio.
We won’t charge attendees to come to the event and will instead suggest guests make a donation to the charity of Tim’s choosing Send a Cow.
Send a Cow was set up in 1988 by farmers based in Newton St Loe, to help African families and orphans grow their way out of poverty. Originally, they sent surplus cows to Africa, but they don’t do this any longer. Instead, by providing livestock, seeds, training and support, they help families escape poverty for good by enabling them to grow enough food to eat and extra to sell.
Stay on for supper with Tim at 7pm in the Library
Timothy has kindly offered to host a private three course supper afterwards in our Library, for any guests who would like to stay on to ask further questions. Places will be £35 and you will be able to choose from a delicious local and seasonal menu suitable for most diets, made with great care by our team of chefs.
If you have an interest in architecture, history, conservation or craft, join us to listen to a talk from Tim on Tuesday 21st November 2017, 6 – 7pm. Places are limited, to register for one please contact our Sales Manager, Kerri.Gibson@combegrove.com / 01225 834 644 and let her know if you would like to book supper too.
